Exactly, people say "casuals keep the mmo up" but they really don't, considering how very little they actually play / jump to another mmo. It's the hardcore people that pay every month for years that keep the game going.
Um, no?
It's the hardcores that blow through everything (no matter how much content devs are capable of pushing out per update) and start whining and moaning that there's nothing to do because they feel like they already finished the game, and thus unsubscribe. Casuals are definitely the ones that keep MMORPGs going.

Casual's are the people who log on for 1-3 hours a day and usually not even everyday or the people who play for a week or so, then either quit, "take a break" or hit the cap and stop playing. Even if the hardcore people blow through content, they still stick around, no matter how much they complain. The casuals are the ones who unsubscribe more often than hardcore, for various reasons like, not enough time or something.
Speaking of the people who quit because they don't have enough time and stuff. They're what's killing mmos by whining and complaining that stuff takes too long resulting in them dumbing down content to where its so easy, a caveman could do it. Tbh, if you can't put effort/time into a mmo, I really don't think you should be playing it until you can manage time better or at least stop complaining for them to make it easier, ruining the game for the people who actually like time consuming, effort requiring games. It's mean, but it's true.
MMOs aren't meant to be picked up and played like a single player game.

In a good Final Fantasy MMO you would never run out of things to do no matter how hardcore you think you are there was always something more because you didn't earn everything in one week.Um, no?

I never ran out of things to do in XI, at least until a little after aby when you could actually get everything in a week :/Yeah right, you've clearly never played a Final Fantasy MMO and ARR doesn't count, in the state it's in ARR isn't a legit FF-MMO.

Really?Yeah right, you've clearly never played a Final Fantasy MMO and ARR doesn't count, in the state it's in ARR isn't a legit FF-MMO.

Because I'm pretty sure I've had this character since the 75 days on FFXI.
But yes, let's assume I never played FFXI, or rather "grew up" with the game. It was my very first MMORPG, after all. Loved the hell out of it. Guess what? I love ARR too. But I guess I'm not allowed to speak on these matters, right?
I wonder why people bother replying to you with anything along the lines of logic when you willingly defy it.Yeah right, you've clearly never played a Final Fantasy MMO and ARR doesn't count, in the state it's in ARR isn't a legit FF-MMO.

Because I do not defy logic and I make good points.
Everything I said about the game is logical it's written down in history, so Arcari has a character, it doesn't change the fact everything I said about the actual game is true. Yes I exaggerated by saying one week but I'm sure your mind can understand where I was coming from.
FFXV-ARR defy's all logic, the logical thing to do would be to add more similarities to an FF-MMO-title content wise, not dispose it.
Arcari, I apologise for stating that you probably didn't play but I do not agree with you about what you had to say to do with casual gamers and hardcore.
Everyone is entitled to have their own views but as an XI player I really don't see where your coming from, hardcore players are the whole reason why that game lasted so long, as soon as the game went more casual a large amount of subs were lost in the process.
Here is my XI character for anyone thats interested.
and a picture that is just funny as lol
Fist 75 job partying back when getting 75 was a chore in bibiki bay, I actually had most of my jobs 75 before abyssea came out.
Lol I love this pic.
This is also funny.

Hardcore's sub is worth just as much as a casuals and yet they make up less of the subscriber base and are more volatile to boot.
