Maintenance Query

Do our subscription time freeze during Maintenance? I know that Maintenance is nice for a game, but doing an EM for two consecutive days? And it takes like 3 hours to complete?

It feels like I'm just wasting my subscription and don't get to fully enjoy the payments I made due to the maintenance here and there.

No, unfortunately it does not, maintenance happens en every MMO out there, even emergency ones. at least they are attempting to fix problems as they go along.

To answer you question shortly: No.

The reason behind it is because 90% of the time you can play normally. Unlike certain MMOs that do a weekly mait where it's down for a whole day, SE likes to do mini-mait whenever possible. I don't agree with the timing because 11-2am PST is my prime play time as well, but it's not something you'll get compensation for.

At least you can almost plan ahead to some degree. They usually only perform maint during that timeframe, rather than random ass times all throughout the day, like some other less-than-adequate MMO's I've played on.

Exaggerating much? Also it is typically 1.5 hours of downtime.

I am in the same boat...that is my main play time also and it sucks that I always lose days because of this. Instead of two days back to back they should have just bit the bullet and got it all done in one day since most of had to lose a day anyway....now I have to either stay up really late to get some game time in or not play for two days straight.

You realise the game has just been launched? Expect maintenance like this for another month or two from now, and a week following the major patches.

No. Just like you don't get a freeze for when you log out.

You do realize that they had a beta that's been there for quite a long time before they even launched it?

Nope, not exaggerating at all. If you actually check their Maintenance section or whatever it is, you'll see how many times they did a Maintenance just for this month, do the math and you'll notice that it's quite alot.

PS:
I won't bother posting here if they actually freeze the subscription time, heck they can maintenance the whole day if they did. But sadly, it's not, and that's why I'm here.

Edit:
I seriously went back to the Maintenance section to check again just to found out that they did a Maintenance for almost like 3 pages of that section. See for yourself, and enjoy doing the math.
