I would just like pld's useless skills to be reworked. Like seriously, wtf do I even use awareness, tempered will, and shield swipe for?

I wonder if the PLD's on the jap forum cry as much as PLD's in the English.
Awareness - Bad, but not really much worse than Foresight. Foresight's pretty bad. Could use a rethink.
Tempered Will - Current content has a real dearth of movement-impairing effects on tanks, but the skill itself could be very valuable in future content.
Shield Swipe - Higher DPGCD than Halone combo, TP-positive, doesn't interrupt combos. Why aren't you using it if threat isn't on a knife's edge?
Let's bitch about cross-class skills before we bitch about class skills. PLD's toolbox is remarkably well-rounded, it's just the cross-class cupboard that's painfully bare.
That's a physical impossibility. Funny story, there are as many WARs crying as PLDs, and many PLDs who are excited by these changes (and not just those of us with WAR at 50).
The cross-class problem stems from two points: everything but Raise and Stoneskin from Conj sucks to cross-class and cross-classing too many of WAR's CDs would, by extension, buff PLD. If I could take the new/old Vengeance and/or Thrill of Battle over Mercy Stroke/Skull Sunder/Fracture I totally would, etc. etc.Awareness - Bad, but not really much worse than Foresight. Other than changing the actual crossed classes, I don't think there's much you can do to solve this problem without buffing PLDs way too hard.
EDIT: You know, I bet if you popped Awareness while your WHM's Shroud of Saints was down, you could keep them from ripping threat via Cure crits. I GET IT NOW SE!

I like how you just want to be considerably better than Warrior in every way now. It's blatantly obvious that you just want to play a "Master Race" here, and care nothing about balance.
The new IB brings us up to par with your shield Oath for (At best) 12 seconds every minute, at the cost of a Damage Buff we stack. That's 20% of the time that Shield oath is ALWAYS WORKING. What is so hard to grasp about this concept?

Shield Oath's mitigation brings two things: effective HP and effective healing received.
eHP was already perfectly balanced between Shield Oath and Defiance. 20% mitigation equates to 25% eHP, same as Defiance's HP buff.
The new Defiance will make effective healing received almost balanced on its own. 20% mitigation equates to 25% eHR, new Defiance brings 20% eHR.
The new IB adds 20% mitigation (AKA eHP+eHR) for the time it's up on top of the mitigation already provided by Defiance. The new IB and Shield Oath don't really compare at all, apart from both of them having the number 20 in their tooltips.
