    Well with current changes a well timed and played Warrior should get more active eHP than Paladin. It still doesn't clear the fact that Paladin have better passive eHP via Shield Oath + Block. Not to mention for all it's worth Defiance is still a Post DMG mitigation which is by and far always inferior to Pre DMG mitigation. And Thrill of Battle is just a damage buffer. Healers still have to heal the missing HP when it is gone for it to be useful for the remainder of it's duration, and Thrill of Battle does no justice in making heals heal that extra buffer with the same amount, your healer's HPS is still static.

    People just need to start looking that Warriors bring a more viable tank debuff and so does Paladin, both have unique skills for specific conditions hence both are welcomed to a party to minimize party damage taken.

    And as many have stated Holmgang is being at the brink of mortality whilst Hallowed Ground is literally invulnerable. Which is also good in a way since healer won't have to heal hence won't generate any more threat and easier to notice. Whereas Holmgang though the warrior may not die, a healer will still panic and attempt to heal him and he still gets drop to 1 HP instead of waiting for some time to later to heal him to maximize Holmgang's effect. Do note that Holmgang you still take damage you just won't fall over until it is over.

    Technically, as an absolute max, WAR would have 123% burst eHP bonus (IB + Vengeance + ToB) compared to PLD's 108% (Rampart + Sentinel). Both of these numbers aren't really valuable on their face. Sephirah, however, was just talking about the +25% bonus to HP, which exists to compare exactly to Shield Oath's 25% eHP boost.

    With a tool suite like this saying no to a Warrior for Turn 4 (Coil) is going to be slightly idiotic - they'll have some seriously strong tools for holding large groups of monsters in check.

    Very excited about this - still a little sad Inner Beast is changing.

    Doesnt take a Rocket Engineer to figure out that Mitigation is Best for Tanks as far as scaling goes. No matter what type of tank you are; the definition of a tank is Still the same = Enmity, Durability, and Protect your Team mates. I'm glad they are making these changes. I've always felt like WAR is gimp DPS with High HP.

    lol. on-par defense? Try 20% less pretty much all the time. IB has to be timed, and saved for the right situations, its not like they get 6s of 20% reduction every 20s all the time.

    Holmgang IS NOT HG. PLD HGs @ 10%hp, can sit there for 7s, get healed to full, then can take 6k dmg before dying. WAR Holmgangs @ 10% hp, and can sit there for MAYBE 3s before healers need to start spamming to get them up, if they don't, WAR dies .1s after Holmgang wears off.
