    Enmity problems!!!

It was after the hotfix & Titan hm when crap happens for me in AK as warrior;(

Before Titan my attributes are: strenght& vitality 11/ dex 4 /rest is for mp
Now I have vit 26/ rest mp.
I use my enmity combos/marks/ switching mobs but its freaking hard to hold aggro then before- worst scenario in partys with blm or bards. I loose quick the target to one of the Dps! Wtf is going on?
what's the problem? my Attributes?Dps who go crazy with their dmg ?or is it me ?
I know the safest way is to spam overpower again & again...But it costsa lot TP!

This issue is really taking the fun of tanking for me I'm afraid the later dungeons will be hell for me.Now I fell like a bad tank.

Overpower can only do so much, if you are losing one mob; just use your BB combo to get it back, or provoke. If it is multiple, have the dps focus one mob, get the rest back and hold that one mob. make sure to rotate your BB combo to the mob you are going to lose aggro on, then check all mobs for aggro while holding the currently targeted mob.

You say your strength build had no problems? Maybe its the fact you just pushed your attack potency to the side for a not so important attribute? not sure how +375-400 HP helps WAR anyway considering mobs do more then that in a single attack. I'd say Don't full vit because it's useless but people would argue other wise. I'm only a 44 war, 44 drg so don't listen to me.

Full VIT at 50 is probably the smartest thing you can do. STR works in tiers and you can spend 30 points and still not reach the next tier and if it did push you over you'd have a 1% damage increase which is useless.

When it comes to coil and things the more HP you have to play with the better!

The reason you're loosing aggro to BRD/BLM combo is because -

    1. They have excellent AOE damage
    2. Foe Requiem (BRD Skill) increases elemental magic damage by 20%. So that BLM's already excellent Damage output is boosted by 20%.

Use things like flash with overpower but don't sacrifice HP for MP with allocated stats.

Cycle through your targets and use a skill on one that you're losing.

You will lose hate with AOE classes. Just gotta accept that and they'll know you won't be able to keep hate forever.

Use stun to your advantage - have you lost hate on a mob but it's pretty close to death? Stun it and move on to the next target. If stun is wearing off before it dies use Holmgang.

Cross class provoke - when you lose a target provoke it and use Tomahawk or enmity combo.

What weapon are you using? Relic?

If Grailer is right then there's no way in hell of you keeping hate off a relic / +1 DPS.

I got my +1 Curtana as soon as possible to avoid any hate issues.

Since you seem to be a Warrior, I've found this to be a very serviceable opener:

Blood Bath > Tomahawk target 1 while running up > Berserk > Flash (threat based on Attack Power, last I knew). 2 GCDs activating Maim. Overpower x2, Butcher's Block combo. Good dps (that are blowing cooldowns as well + tunneling the primary target from the word go) will often get close to pulling about when you hit the single target threat moves and the Butcher's Block should solidify your threat.

Flash once during the Pacify from Berserk because it's free threat. Everything is now glued to you. As long as you tab around to check for multi dot/healer threat it should be pretty smooth sailing.

Without Berserk available you can just do a second Butcher's combo and will have to pay slightly more attention to multi target threat. Could also move one of the 2 Overpowers to after the first BB if worried about threat on target 1.

War without relic can hold hate against +1 relic. Though i admit it takes adjustment. Talk to your party and work it out, Adjust use of your normal tanking techniques, and don't be discouraged.

I switch between tanking as War and Pld frequently just to mix things up. And even with relic/relic+1, threat is frustrating to maintain on a consistent basis at best.

Under most situations, what it comes down to is that several abilities have no threat modifier at all, or the threat mod for Defiance/Oath is just too low.

There are several abilities that I'd like to use more frequently because they are either fun, or just to mix things up, but I can't simply because running consistently with Relic+1/AF+1 people, I have to prioritize threat over everything else:

Shield Swipe is disregarded in almost all cases because people ride you in threat that you can't sacrifice the GCD, even if it doesn't reset your combos.

Maim/Storm is disregarded in just about all cases as well because I certainly can't sacrifice three GCD's of no threat unless I'm a full min into a fight. Coupled with steel cyclone doing next to no threat, you're throwing away abilities. (I won't even get into how tragically bad berserk is compared to FoF)...

If they would simply boost the modifier of Oath/Defiance so that threat isn't a struggle to maintain if you're actually performing combos, or weaving in a swipe when it's up, it would make tanking so much more enjoyable.

Realistically all of my stress stems from DF. Aye, go ahead, i'll sit back for a moment while you go on your tirade of "run with friends/fc and not pugs". So when that isn't an option, I should just deal with the trolls and mmo bullies because it comes with the territory? That should be baked into the popup for DF then. Have a disclaimer that you agree to be harassed and treated like sh*t because you're using a feature that groups you with people who have no self control or respect for people on the other side of their monitor. You can go ahead and say "let them die, teach them a lesson, etc...". So the answer to the problem is to be no better than them, and vindictive behavior is the path to victory? Which is then followed up with abuse. So you make the situation worse. I can leave the group and queue again... but to what avail? Sure my queue is instant, but I've still lost time, only to risk the same situation again? Buffing oath/defiance enjoy to make it a quality of life change, not a game breaking change is all that I'd hope for.

I don't want the modifier to be so high that I can shield lob, then go make a sandwich. But I'd like to be able to use all the tools in my toolkit without the certainty that aggro is going out the window.

Now, if this ever got done, we can get to harassing SE's horrible engineering decision to have animation cooldowns on top of global cooldowns. (or the fact that a majority of abilities will not go off when you're chasing a moving enemy because god forbid the animation cant complete).
