"EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE" yes, that screams prolong it as much as possible.The whole reason OP is upset is because he does all those things, and has a few hours every evening to play, and can't. And I think his main complaint -- and I get it, even though maintenance is for me 11pm-2am local -- is that he's paying for a service, and he's missing out on that service about 33% of the time right now. If your mobile worked 66% of the time and someone said "hey why don't you just chat face to face and live in the real world a bit" you would not be happy with their helpful advice.
On a side note, impacting maintenance does not need to happen. It's the fault of the product and the service architecture that we have to have it. That said, if we have to have it, let's have it once a week tops, hmm? On whatever the least played day is, please.
