Maintenance Schedules, please change them..

I don't understand why we can't flip the time zones to follow latitude rather than longitude, then dump maintenance on AST (Antarctic Standard Time).

Those of us that work 9-5 in the Oceanic Region are suffering really bad from these issues.

Actually no, I'm in Perth in Western Australia and maintenance is typically done by 5 or 6pm. There are a lot of oceanic players in this timezone, Singapore, Phillipines, Malaysia, etc. Probably more than east coast Australia and NZ combined in all reality.

Also maintenance is a normal thing, I think they've done pretty well with the lack of downtime so far. They tend to do the maintenance in JP business hours so they have the most staff on the ground. Makes perfect sense.

I'm not asking them to completely suit my needs, but making it 2 hours earlier than their current schedule isn't going to screw over an entire region, as of right now it's perfect for European players, it ends at 6am for them... it's also perfect for Americans because it doesn't slice right into their prime time.
Most of America maintenance will start at 9-10pm

I think they should at the very minimum rotate the times of maintenance so the same region does not get screwed all the time. My main play time starts at 11pm PST and the maintenance always hits me and it really sucks! I get home from work and then need to spend time with my family so I cannot ever play prime time for USA. I know that is my problem but it is also not fair that the same region gets messed over all the time. If anything they should do the maintenance so it is during the early morning in PST like 4am to 7am PST.

I know right, then we can just blame the players when the game falls apart; because a portion of our community isn't capable of being happy, no matter what.

2. Pay programmers overtime for coming in at 11pm JST to do maintenance
3. Increase subscription fee to pay programmers overtime
4. ???
5. Profit!!!

Actually you can get rid of step 4. No thanks.
