You're misinterpreting the kind of controls that keyboard-only people want. You picture it as mouse+keyboard without the mouse, but what they want is something closer to playing on pad but with all the inputs mapped to the keyboard. So there wouldn't be keyboard turning since there would be full instant 8-way run similar to 360 degree analogue movement on a pad.

Except you don't get the analog part of it since Keyboards are digital.

You are aware you don't need to turn your character to move full speed in all directions right? you don't need to be a "Keyboard turner"

Problem is with a keyboard being digital, you still get better movement with a control stick. Just because you can use legacy controls, doesn't mean you can move in all directions. Only 8, you would need to turn if you needed finer grain control.

Not sure I understand where you would need such precise control. The direction you can't move can be compensated with camera movement. I have yet to face a situation where I've felt like I'm at any sort of "Disadvantage" from not using my mouse to flip my camera.

on the PS3? pretty sure it wont work on there
pretty sure the OP wants the Keyboard/Mouse controls supported on the PS3 and I vote for this for sure as I know a lot of people who have a PS3 but not a PC powerful enough for this prefer Keyboard/Mouse

its a matter of preference, some people are just way more comfortable with Keyboard/Mouse controls than game controllers and find the controllers to be awkward

I completely understand the desire to use what you're most comfortable with. But I think you're misunderstanding what he's asking for. He's asking for the ability to ONLY use the keyboard, no mouse. Which is basically the exact same as using a controller, so I'm just wondering what it is that they want the keyboard only for that they can't do with their controller. ^^;

Not everybody has the option to play the game the same way others do. Due to a medical problem, I only have limited use of my left hand. This makes it impossible for me to play the game with a controller. I can handle keyboard or mouse but have trouble with keyboard 'and' mouse. I have found many ways to deal with this using keybinds and macros though and my only noticeable (to others) problem is my slow typing. A keyboard only option would be helpful to me but not necessary. As is, the interface is still one of the most adaptable I've found, which is why I've been here since PH3 beta.

I'm not sure I understand. I am playing now and am Keyboard Only (99% of the time). For skills that require placing a target on ground (like moving Fairy or Shadow flare) I need to use the mouse still (although it can be done with look controls, just not as gracefully).

Is this the concern?
