You can do it too. There's no reason for all of the complaints about how hard it supposedly is to get this stuff.

the same thing i do everytime
i also teach other people about this......and they not very happy bec seem tedious while other very grateful
And if we could get fleece I'd be a happy clam.
Though deep down I know 3:1 and 5:1 shard ratio is still the bottleneck in the game when it takes just as long to gather them at 50 as it did at 5.
You're so very wrong about shard gathering. I am at somewhere around 900-1000 shards an hour, which you can't do at 5.
(1) At 26 mining/botany you have access to the level 30 gathering nodes which yield 2x shards. It's one node out of the four for the level 30 nodes.
(2) At 20 mining/botany for 400 gp you get 2 extra shards (extended to crystals at 40 and clusters at 50) per swing. It takes about 3-4 minutes to gain 400 gp. Mining gets 3 of them, Botany the other three, 1 for each shard type, and they can be shared.
All farming areas have four nodes. Two of the four will always be spawned as you gather. This means once you are level 26 you can chose areas for the shards you want, where you can farm 3 of the 4 nodes. The idea is to farm the 2x shard node once out of every three nodes, instead of once out of every four. This way you are getting a 4th node free every 3 nodes you gather from.

But keep in mind that the areas with the 2x shard nodes do not have a 5 gather attempt node nearby...The idea is to farm the 2x shard node once out of every three nodes, instead of once out of every four. (...) Edit: Also, if possible without losing gp gain, you can use the 2x shard on the 5 gather attempt nodes instead of the normal four, increasing shard gain by about 20-30 an hour.
You're right. I got up early, not awake and edited that in as an after thought because it works for non-shard nodes. I'll take it out.
I do my shard farming on auto pilot at this point, and to keep me focused I set a timer and see how many shards I can do an hour. Some areas the nodes are a bit far apart which slows it down.
Completely off topic ..
but I have been in love with Ksenia Solo forever.
So you win the internet for the rest of my life.
Rewards are randomized. If you repeat leves while leveling, you'll often see rewards of 7 shards vs 56 shards from the same leve. Additionally, you'll often see materials or vintage precursors. This is a great way to get diremite webs if this particular leve is rewarding them for you, but it likely wouldn't be worth "farming" the leve to try to get diremite webs to come up as a reward and wasting your allowances unless you've already hit 50 with all your crafting classes (best way to spend your leves).
It's worth checking and worth doing if the web reward is available, but it's not a solution to the spawn limitations and bots.
Just because it isn't available every time doesn't mean it isn't worth it. You get many leve allowances every day. Using a few of them to get the diremite web reward options is not a big deal. There are at least 6 different leves that reward web. If you do a leve or two, come back and check the rewards to see if they've changed. If you do more than one craft, alternate between craft leves for better efficiency.
When I can get many many stacks with extreme ease in a very short amount of time and then see people complaining on the forum about how hard it supposedly is to get these things, I can't help but sigh and facepalm. I made a video showing how absurdly easy it is. So, yes. It IS a solution.
