Works fine for me. Can be a little annoying in FATEs, but for everything else I have no problems with it.
No, it's awful. If I have engaged a group of mobs (red) in a dungeon, tab target should not target something downstairs, on a different floor (think AK) or completely down the hallway. Simply terrible.
After the latest update, frequently I'm unable to Tab target enemies and their HP bars don't show up on the left of my screen, even though I can clearly see them, I'm facing them, and they are in range. This problem is most evident in dungeons.
I'm on PS3 and never had this issue prior to the update.
I also remember reading somewhere that they planned to improve it, but in the meantime, you can kinda fix it yourself with target filtering.
If you go to Character Config > Filters, uncheck all of the boxes for the weapon drawn section except for "Aggroing Enemies". Next, change the Tab keybind to System > "Move Cursor/Target Cursor Right/Left" (either one will work).
Once you have it set like this, pressing tab while you have your weapon drawn will move your target cursor only among aggroing enemies. Granted, this doesn't actually target the enemies, but using an ability will target them.
Completely agree that this is the worst tab-targeting system I have seen in any MMO!
Most of the times it targets something behind me that I can't even attack.
How hard can it be? It works (almost) perfect in WoW and SWTOR for instance.
Aside from the horrible tab target, has anyone had problems selecting enemies with the cursor?
I click all over them when my tab wont pick up the target and there is either a delay or a range issue. Really frustrating me.
