Weaver help, please?

On the two servers I have played on, the market prices for HQ Flax are not much higher than the prices for NQ Flax (maybe 5-25% more, depending on the day). I got through the initial stages of linen weaving by using HQ Flax and then mixing HQ/NQ Flax until I could make HQ Linen Thread with NQ materials.

Everyone seems to have their own preferred method of crafting, but I would suggest using Great Strides whenever you use Standard Touch or Advanced Touch.

GS => ST increases quality by 250% for 70 CP and 10 durability (5 under Waste Not).
ST => ST increases quality by 250% for 76 CP and 20 durability (10 under Waste Not).

The only time GS => ST is not strictly better than 2x ST is when you use GS during a Good or Excellent state, so don't do that.

If you modify the rotation you outlined above to incorporate GS it might look something like:

IQ => GS => SH => WN => ST => GS => ST => ST

This gives you 625% progress, the same as 5x ST. It costs 12 fewer CP and it only uses 15 durability, giving you three additional actions (two touches if you can finish in one synthesis).

Another possible rotation for 40-durability components using Great Strides:

IQ => GS => SH => ST => GS => ST => GS => ST => Synth

Great Strides shines even more for 60- to 80-durability items because synthesis actions allow you to fish for Good or Excellent states to maximize the effect of your touches. If you are crafting a 40-durability item and use Great Strides, most of the time you are going to use a touch action next turn regardless of the item state. If you are crafting a pair of pants, you might use IQ => GS => SH and then, if the item state is Normal, use a synthesis action and hope the state changes to Good or Excellent for your double-quality Standard Touch. Just make sure not to allow the Great Strides buff to expire unused.
