Not true. Once you manually use an ability (like contagion) it will revert to Sic and use other cd's. If you don't believe me go to the 3:34 point in this video:

At 3:34 if you watch Garuda in the party list on the left you will see him start using Aerial Slash despite me never having clicked anything other than Obey or Contagion (I had forgotten to spam obey again after the last contagion). Proof that you and everyone else spreading this kind of false info is wrong.

I really hate how people keep saying false info like this, especially when one of them makes a thread on summoner tips & tricks and is wrong about a key thing.

Maybe this is a ps3 glitch as I have never had this issue.

I don't think he had his pet on obey, it was on "steady" prior to pressing contagion (if you watch the video, the pet never attacked a single time at the start of the fight)

I watched the video closely and not once the "obey" was pressed (correct me if I'm wrong here, and point it out if in the video if it was pressed)

edit: look, he finally pressed obey at 5:21, and not once the pet was randomly casting it's spells again.

Yea, he's wrong. I have NEVER had that issue...ever
