I'd have to say no. First off it's impossible to get 40+ gold pieces. Even if you took gold on every quest that offers them you wouldn't have 40 and no one is going to list them on the AH if they need them for gear. Second off making it possible to buy the vendor gear with gil (via buying the gold pieces) would make the gold pieces worth more to a player than they are to a vendor and would encourage people selling them for millions so people can buy the gear and I say no to that too.

They will remove or raise the myth cap when Crystal Tower comes out, I'd bet money on it. IMO the only reason the myth cap currently exists is to put a break on the speed at which people gear out to slow down BCB progression. They want BCB to last a while. And it's already been proven that a group in mostly IL90 can kill twintania with some well placed raises and good positioning.

And I wouldn't be surprised if CT comes out and they remove the cap and remove myth drops from WP and AK and move myth drops to Hard Mode WP and HardMode AK. So to get myth in 2.1/2.2 it would be CT, BCB, HM AK, HM WP, HM Primals, Ultimate Primals.
