Having played the old FFXI MMO for two years, I look back at all the times I spent waiting for hours at a time as DPS for a group invite. Half the time I would get an invite, and by the time I got to the party location, either the healer or the tank had to leave, and I was back to square one. All those days waiting I thought "Gee I wish there were some way to just queue up at the DPS unemployment line and be assigned to a party, ANY party at all, to get this thing underway."
Forced social interaction for group formation can suck it.
As far as those who can't take the time to "smell the roses" and appreciate how beautiful the environments are or how immersive the virtual populace is...well, some people just can't see the forest for the trees.
Anyone remember airship to Jeuno ? 10 min in real life just looking at clouds... No thank you. Waste a lot of time. Dungeon issue right now is no one wants to do it since fate is sooo much faster.
My party member remarked as we were running WP today that it must have been a really beautiful place before the civilization that lived there collapsed and all the tonberries moved in.
I had to agree with him as we looked around some of the staircases waiting for the stalkers to pass, seeing the walls stretch up to impossibly high ceilings and the elaborate stone work in even the floors and walls.
Makes you wonder what it used to be like.
I blame Henry Ford for mass producing cars...now I can get to work in 20minutes instead of walking there for 2 hours and smelling the morning roses... I also blame SE for releasing all those FF games that literrally glued me to my chair for hours every day, causing me to exercise less.
I didn't read the whole thing either, your complaints are annoying honestly. Why in the world would you want something to be a grind fest? I've been there and done that and it is nice to be able to play a game without getting frustrated or trying sooo freaking hard to get to where you want to be. There is a ton of content in this game and I love everything that they decided to do. If you want, go play WoW or something. I've been there too. Even when you hit 50, you already know of all the things you can still do. Level up all classes, do different jobs, etc. I am sure that there will be expansions on this game too later on.
