    Gil lost during server transfer!

    Character name: Mountaingiant Littlesister
Created on: September 22, 2010 on Cornelia then automatically moved to Durandal (Japan server) during Square Enix's server consolidation.

Account reactivated during beta phase 3 of ARR. On October 16, 2013, the above character was transferred to world Hyperion (Legacy).

Issue: the amount of gil remained in the above character's inventory was 923,000 gil at the launch of ARR while residing on Durandal (Japan); however, once transferred to Hyperion (legacy), the amount was further reduced to only 204,000 gil with no cause. There was no possibility of the account being compromised since I logged in right away to check if the transfer process was okay. Everything seemed to be in order except for the amount of Gil disappeared.

    Additional information:
I was one of the very early player of FFXIV version 1.0, got my collector's edition at launch and started playing right away. By the end of October 2010 when I decided to stop playing, the above character had 9.2 million Gil from crafting and trading. The economy back then was very different.

I am fully aware of Square Enix's policy with regards to adjusting the amount of gil to only 1/10 of the original amount once ARR was launch. Therefore, seeing my character only has 923,000 Gil was not a surprise.

However, once my character was transferred to Hyperion (Legacy) and the amount was reduced again to only 204,000 Gil, that is a big surprise.

I have contacted SE's support center several times during the last two weeks and eventually got to chat with one of the agents. He agreed the 700,000+ Gil should not have been taken away during the transfer process. First, because the amount allowed, according to official statement, is 1 million Gil. Second, Hyperion is a legacy world consists of players who have played for a very long time; some of my friends have all classes at LV. 50 with millions of Gil in their inventory. As the result, the 700,000 Gil would not make any significant impact on Hyperion's economy.

Eventually, the agent suggested that this is a bug and advised me to post this thread and ask for help here. I appreciate if SE could quickly address this issue, give me back the Gil taken away during the transfer process and allow me to finally enjoy the game I purchased over 3 years ago. Thank you!
