PvP isn't endgame so that's a moot point.I have to disagree. My friends and I (full-time jobs) in recent mmos got 1.5 years out of Aion, 6mo out of SWTOR, 1 year out of GW2, and we're feeling the boredom now after 2mo in FFXIV. We're waiting it out until the new patch because we do like the game but you can't say we have to "pay the price" when competing mmos don't see these issues 2 months in. IMO all those games had some sort of pvp so our interest was kept.
This. I played Tera for half a year to 9 months on and off at launch. Took me quite a while until I got bored with the game. I loved the fact it had vanity features since launch, and other basic features/content that this game doesn't have yet. Now, I'm rather bored with this game and I want to like it, I honestly do. I fear 2.1 just won't be enough, even more considering a great deal of 2.1 should have been at launch.I have to disagree. I'm not going to blame myself, wtf is wrong with you. I'm not even blaming the company but stating my opinion. And that's what these forums are for!
The funny thing is, I came to this game from GW2, a game that I played since beta weekend even #2. The entire time GW2 has been out, on both the official forums and GW2 Guru, the #1 complaint has been "omg dis game has zero endgame, I'm soooo bored, this game phails!!1". And yet we have this person here saying GW2 lasted them a year, and this game only 2 months? Really goes to show different strokes for different folks. These complaints are so often based on personal preference, perspective, and play habits, yet they're presented as stone cold objective facts.
I played Tera for 6mo because the combat system was different and interesting. I also liked GW2 vanity system as well so I farmed for gear from different places just to make my pvp/pve sets a certain look.This. I played Tera for half a year to 9 months on and off at launch. I don't consider myself an mmo-hopper since I usually last at least a year or more with SWG for 3.5 years but I've never been bored with an mmo so early on. I'm keeping my interest until 2.1 with gathering right now.
Indeed. I was about to write her off as simply delusional upon hearing she played SWTOR for 6 months, but different strokes for different folks! The funny thing is, I came to this game from GW2, a game that I played since beta weekend even #2. It's not fact, but an opinion. Welcome to this thing called forums. The funny thing is, I came to this game from GW2, a game that I played since beta weekend even #2. Not to toot my own horn, but it was /thread with my two posts at the top of page two. There really isn't anything else to say.
