    Intermittent FULL Internet Disconnections

    I've come to a conclusion this is a SE issue NOT a Comcast issue. This ONLY happens when I have the game open and connected to the servers and started happened when FFXIV released end of August.
    I never had this issue when I played WoW. I would hate to have to pay for a VPN to play this game with no issues.

    Things Comcast Have Done
    • Swaped out for New Purchased Modem & Comcast Rented Modem
    • Swaped out almost everything thing possible outside and at nodes.
    • Swaped out bad suppressed white circle "washer" for connector in attic
    • 6 Techs in the home, though only 1 tech ever checked my ran lines (Doing their job properly and he was a Business Tech that I got as a special visit.)
    • Over 20+ visits outside my house from multiple line techs.
    • Took down whole subdivision twice to look into my issue.
    • Took down 4 customers within subdivision due to their noise back into line.
    • Spoken with Comcast on the phone over 500 minutes
    • Called Comcast over 50 times
    • Spoken to 2 Line Techs, 2 Local Superviors, Multiple Make it Right department Supervisors, Corperate Executive Support, Denver Support, Countless Make It Right Agents.
    • Have over 10 Direct #'s and names of people I shouldn't have.
    • 3 ESL tickets open, 2 closed without confirmation issue is fixed and only on their own assumption it was.
    • Cost Comcast $1000+ in labor, support and on call tech services.

    Looks like you may have some issues with TATA Communications segments (like most everyone else that gets routed through them). Not saying that is all of your problems, but they are a strong candidate for some if not all of your packet loss in route. They are in charge of the as6453.net segments where you got the timeouts and other erratic delays (like that hop that jumped over 200ms in one pass, 3x-4x the norm for that hop), and are known for having high packet loss when traffic gets a bit on the high side.

    Yeah, but that should only effect my game connection not ALL my internet connections right? :x

    Are you really saying SE is responsible for you loosing your internet access locally?

    Seriously... think about what you are proposing there.

    I thought you were talking about connection to the SE servers. There is something else going on that is tripping a full out loss of your connection.
