Question about PS3 & PC options.

then technically you can okay with 2 characters simultaneously because you have 2 service accounts (1 for ps3 and 1 for PC).

So your brother should be able to play using your account on the PS3 while you are playing on your PC. You may be limited however because of the subscription you have. So like, if you can only create 1 character per server, both of you would have to play on separate servers. But if you have the subscription that allows up to 8 characters then you can both play on the same server together.

i'm not going to go blame SE if I cannot do this, after all I did read the warning that the linking of accounts is permanent.

The Square Enix account is just an account where you registered yourself pretty much. You link your serials from games and whatever to this. A service account could be called your subscription I guess. In some cases some people have multiple subscriptions and end up with multiple service accounts under the same SE account. Keeps you from having to remember multiple logins.

See this is where it gets tricky on if it would work or not for you because it depends what you did.

If you linked your ps3 to your SE account but created a NEW service account you could use them both at the same time paying the sub on 2 service accounts. You would not have access to your pc's characters on ps3 though. But if you linked it to an existing service account in order to play the same character on both pc and ps3 then yea you need another box.

The whole playing on a different data center work around someone mentioned could get plugged at any time so yeah.

Okay. Thanks for clarifying that for me. I guess, I should just hope the PS4 version is much much improved then.
