Any progress on RMT tells/shouts?

Yeah shouts seem to have died down, it's now just an average of 8 RMT tells a day e_e; It's quiet like 1-2 days then I'll get like 8+ different RMT tells per day.

It would just be nice if SE would station GM's on a low level characters in a town to recieve the tells, wait like 5-10 mins (some random amount of time) then ban them so they can't quite tell which character is the GM. At least if you knew they were going away within 5-10 mins I wouldn't care about adding their name to a blist.

Nice idea. Unfortunately I have seen no evidence that this game actually employs any in-game GMs. Everything appears to be done well after the fact or automated programs.

Have to also consider that there's additional variables at stake here. GMs (assuming there are some) don't just look over RMT related activity. Every day, there's complaints about harassment, offensive behavior, system related bugs, false reports, etc. Hiring people isn't exactly something a multi-million dollar company can freely do whenever they feel like it. Ever worked in a payroll office? Or at least in an administrative position that handles fiscal duties? Getting the paperwork and permissions in these places is not the most stream-lined and fastest thing to do.

I have considered these variables. I base my statement on the fact that I have never received a response, or even an acknowledgement of my communications. This is counter to all my experiences with MMOs. In any other games (including FFXI) I have ever played I have always received at least a form response if not direct contact contact with GMs for further info. I receive none of that here which makes me wonder about the level of GM involvement. To answer your second part the answer is yes. While companies cannot hire willy-nilly they must make the effort to staff key areas at the appropriate levels. I consider in-game GMs to be a key area. They are a vital link between the player and the company. If that link is not there then the game will suffer.
