You should upgrade all your gear to level 50 as soon as possible. You'll get a solid 4.3k HP if you focus on vit.

One small advice, try to tell your group to wait on killing adds after 3 stacks. If you think you can't take it (like the damamge dealers accidentally killed 4), pop Hallowed Ground immediately, since it has a slow animation/effect time (like 1.5 seconds "cast" time). Save the rest of your defensive cooldowns for after Tonberry used Everybody's Grudge.

Just a heads up, you will need roughly 5k tomestones for your full darklight set. Meaning you need to run WP 50 times. It sounds alot and a bit scary, but as a tank, you get instant queue and you can play 10 runs of WP per day once you have done each runs effectively under 20-25 mins. That would give you a complete DL set by the end of the week!

The whole DL set will give you in the region of 5.2k - 5.4k HP. Then you aim for ifrit and garuda blade, before doing titan for your relic weapon.

Thanks! I have to look into this, I don't even have my Curtana yet :[ I assume I can do it if I really try and focus with a great party since hopefully my gear will hold up, if not I have to keep aiming to get better.

You need to beat Titan to get your Curtana from the Relic Reborn quest. People say that you need 5.3~.4k to tank Titan, that is quite correct. Titan consists of 5 phasis. You don't really need to do much (and doesn't require "that" good gear) for the first four of the phase. However, it WILL BE a gear check for you at phase 5 when Titan uses a special technique called the Mountain Buster (commonly referred to as table flip, because of its animation look). This technique will take away 3.9-4.5k HP in one hit, damage amount dependent on your defensive stats and other factors. This particular attack(s) requires you to learn when the attack will come and saving your defensive cooldowns for that attack only.

Therefore, having a full Darklight is a (kinda) must. Buy yourself a La Nosean Toast (a food) to boost your HP (up to 15vit ~around 150hp). Plus the Shield from King Tonberry. All these will see you through Titan for your relic.
