* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

However, I think the need to make a case lies with the group demanding something be added to a game when it's not needed. The fact that a lot of people have played the game for months and never thought "Gee you know what this needs? Jump!" is case enough.
Examination of the implementation of jumping. This means Examining the jump feature once implemented in their test servers and seeing if it works as intended and it is almost guaranteed it will because this new team is competent.
If that is the case, then it still commends what i said earlier. Doesn't matter if they are going to just think about it or place it in test server, its still not even going to be thought about until later on.

Risk analysis means what implications could happen and if it produces enough of said implications, it won't be added.
Don't want unlimited jumping, Limited jump context sensative would be fine. But I'd rather the developers pool resources in other areas as adding context sensative jumps would be a massive waste of time just so we can hop over fences.
