While this is true, this is also an MMO, and it can't really follow the same pattern as single-player games. I don't expect a Paladin to keep themselves alive, but their cures do seem a bit limited. Then again, I'm not a Paladin, just a White Mage.

I think you need to get your brain checked Hermit, only if you thought FFXI is a single player game.

I'd like to add PLD had cure in FFXIV post-1.23. Holy Succor cured the PLD for half the amount it cured it another party member or could be used on yourself. I don't understand why FFXI can't be used as precedent for FFXIV. People have used plenty of examples where things have only been in one FF title in the past and that's okay because it wasn't FFXI. The Golden Saucer for example. Hell, at least PLD had healing that cured for more than 4% of their HP in other FF titles. Even Warrior has more healing potential than PLD.
