So I just installed/registered yesterday and I'm trying to figure out how to play. I saw the configurations for the controller interface and I thought that was cool, but when I configured my PS3 controller and calibrated it, it also registered the sixaxis rotating the controller.

I have to keep the controller PERFECTLY level AND still or my camera goes nuts and its driving me CRAZY. Isn't there a way to use the controller but turn the sixaxis off? I looked all over the game options and even went through the trouble of trying to mess with my Motionjoy options and still nothing.

And why does the camera turn left to right when I tilt the controller up and down and up and down when I tilt the controller left to right? That's bass ackwards...

So instead of using the calibration on the joystick i used the six axis.... but its hard to control and now the joystick is backwards. There's no winning here.

Ironically, the game doesn't do anything with sixaxis on the actual PS3...

So I've heard... Then whats going on? Why does it read improperly on the PC and not at all on the PS3 (which the controller is actually designed for)

I just want to either fix it so I can properly use the joystick AND six axis or turn the six axis off entirely, both Motionjoy software and FF14 don't give me the options to do either. I like the controller interface because I've been on console almost all my life.... and now I know why.

I'd go with a 360 controller for Windows. You can get used ones on Amazon for around $25.

Xbox360 controllers work on practically any game that supports Xinput, which FF14 does.

Got nothing to do with it. As far as a PC is concerned, a controller is a controller is a controller (whether USB or Bluetooth). It all looks the same to the game.

Hi Lareth are you using MotioninJoy?

Sounds like you are using a third party controller recognition software to use a ps3 controller with FFXIV... If you are using DS3 tool... you need to go into the settings of the ps3 button config within ds3 and change tilt x- x+ y- y+ to nothing... other wise it will recognize it as x- x+ etc...

I would recommend the Scarlet Crush drivers found here, but I am not sure if it works with Sixaxis as the drivers are made for DS3. If it does, it emulates an Xbox controller which doesn't have tilt and should solve your issues. They are also much better than MotioninJoy.

If they don't work though, as Jonathan has mentioned you will need to try and find a config option to disable tilt.
