    What is it about fishing?

    That will crash my computer?

And its the only thing that will.

OK, it is far from the latest and greatest machine:

AMD 64 X2 4400+, XP, 2 GB RAM, EVGA Gforce 9800 GT, fiber connection. I use EVGA Precision (overclocking for dummies) mostly to keep my fans at 100%.

I can fairly reliably crash the machine, and we are talking a hard shutdown with no auto restart, perhaps a thermal overload*, by fishing for 10 - 20 minuets.

I can mine, log, craft, do battleleves or behest, and never have a problem.

I use IMVU, which uses far more processor power than XIV, without that happening.

Any ideas? Other than give up on fishing?

*Is there a way to show what your power / temperature profiles were after a shutdown / restart?

Cupid Hardware Monitor, which people on this forums just turned me on to, seems to keep track of the lowest/highest values so you can watch that stuff.
