    Making profits as a Culinaria

Hey, I'd like some advices from fellows 50s CUL on making profits. Fyi, I plan on lvling other crafts to 15 soon and working on my gear.

I started lvling for the purpose of having food always and for my FC but now I want to try make profits for it, I am currently doing so by HQ la nosceans toasts for power levers.

    Tips?

If you want to maximize profits you'll level botanist to gather your own materials and farm the other stuff. (meat, eggs, etc)

Scour the market boards daily and find items in low supply and craft them. With good gear you can HQ any recipe level 50 and below with NQ materials which will further increase your profits.

Botany has saved me as a Culinarian. I am not 50 yet, but I am completely self-sufficient (minus fish recipes) and it just makes Culinarian a breeze.

That being said, you're looking for money help. Synths that sell a lot are Levequest turn ins. Chamomile tea, Cornmeal, etc. Farm HQ mats on Botanist, pure profit.

I'll point out that these sell often on my server, but they're also oversold. There's tons on the market, but they still make people chunks of money.

Sell stacks of 9 HQ things needed for common triple turn-in leves.

But arent you helping your future competition by quickening their culinary leveling?

Crafters buy control food, tanks buy parry food, dps going to coil sometimes need accuracy...

There's a sort of weird self-perpetuating circle in crafting in FFXIV. You become a culinarian in order to make food, which in most situations would be used as buffs in dungeons. However, here, you make most of your money by... making food to sell to other culinarians who want to get to 50 quickly.... getting to 50 so they can make large amounts of money selling food to... other culinarians.

Culinarian is basically a big Pyramid Scheme right now, though that's partially because the 2-star foods are pretty worthless (I don't believe any of the 2star foods are worth eating because of the low% buff meaning you can't hit their max with current gear). Maybe in a few patches when everyone is in much higher gear level, Culinarians can make a fortune by crafting HQ 2star food for the heavy raiders.

Till then... sell to other culinarians >.<

Or other crafters and gatherers. Make the CP and GP food HQ. I myself am always buying HQ food for 1 and 2 star items.

Thanks for the tips guys, yeah I've been doing this same thing, selling to other CULs, food is so underrated, it basically another gear slot. Problem with selling leves stuff is well.. TN of people do and it gets undercut

Crafting foods make a huge difference. Convincing people of that might be the big issue. Also, helping them find them in the Market Board Maze. You might need to bark the various craftsmanship and control food names so people know what to look for.
