Why post gear/wep when /sh LFG

First one - There's absolutely zero guarantee that the decked out one even knows how to tank and why not help people get geared? They'll never be picked if someone will never take them because they don't magically have all the gear necessary

There's no guarantee the one without gear knows how to tank either. When you know absolutely nothing about a player other than the gear they have, taking the one with better gear is a safer bet.

I'd take the second too, at least you know the pld with +1 relic won't fall off during repel as he has done it enough times to get +1.

I notice this too when I shout for AK/titan parties without asking for 'gear + exp'. I'll get tells from people 'blm DL and EXP invite me'. Not sure why they'd say that...

The first one, because DL tank armor is ugly :P (also, wouldn't it be better to take the less geared one so they can... get geared, and your server will have more geared tanks because of that?) Who am I kidding though, I have my shouts turned off, even if I'm shouting for members :P

Yeah, I agree, the DL is pretty fugly... But man, people are so easy to keep alive when they are wearing it.

I tend to ignore these shouts in Mor Dhona and either group with my FC or just go through the DF, regardless of my having a Relic+1. These people sit there shouting for an hour to form a group when you can do twice the amount of runs in the time it takes them to get a group together.

When you start running end game DF instances as a DPS, instead of a TANK, you can come back and let us know if you still feel the same way. Shouting for 30m to get a speed run group together (and possibly run several times), or sitting in DF for 30m to get a random one off group....I wonder what is better

Two reasons: speed runs or they want to be carried.

It's all about speed and getting something distasteful done as fast as possible: I really can't blame them all things considered...
