The tooltip for accuracy is:

'Affects the accuracy of both physical and magic attacks. The higher the rating, the better chance your attack will have of landing.'

I'm a BLM and for me, from lvl1 to 50 my spells have probably been resisted about 5 times. At endgame, I never see my spells get resisted/miss etc. Is there a point to accuracy? Or should I just trade accuracy off for determination/other better secondary stats.
I've never been to coil before, so is accuracy considered important there? Do your spells/attacks miss on those monsters?
I'd love to read everybody's opinions about this.
