Yeah... I dislike it but what we had before was horrible too. I don't understand how targeting something in 11 was so easy while it's so hard here.

Similiar to the "target nearest npc" I'd like a "target nearest engaged enemy" button, when pressed again targetting next engaged enemy, to be able to cycle through engaged mobs. When not engaged just selecting nearest enemy.
This, together with an easy way to cycle through party members, would make battle (and behest) more enjoyable.

What part of "General Discussion" made you think this section was for technical/in-game difficulties?

Or maybe people should not be stupid and stop spamming threads in the wrong sections?
...
Nah let's just keep opening pointless threads in all the wrong places that's way more fun.

You do realize that the mods will just move the thread when they see it, should they feel it needs moving? I'm not saying people shouldn't pay more attention where they choose to post things, because they should.. But it ultimately isn't worth arguing about.

That's why I'm agreeing with you, since I'm not the one that was "arguing" about it yet someone felt the need to say I'm worse than a troll for simply pointing it out.
And just because someone could clean your trash when you throw it out on the street doesn't mean everyone should do it.
How so? He's pointing out a problem he has with a technical aspect of the game. Anyways I don't want to derail the thread.
This isn't a technical issue. Nor is it a bug. Why, then, are you saying it should be in the technical issue/bug report forum?
I've found a slight work-around for tanks trying to use Accomplice, but I don't heal, so I can't be much help there. What I have noticed, though, is that it'll only target people within view of your camera (I've yet to test characters blocked by walls, though). Again, not horribly useful for healers, unless you can swing your camera around so that only the tank is on-screen. . .
I agree, this is hideous. I almost died solo'g a leve I can do in my sleep. The main problem for me, as mage, is you have to close down your action bar to change target between party members and mob(s). In the process it's easy enough to end up setting this to something you didn't intend, so when you re-open your action bar, you discover you can't target an enemy or party member, causing you to have to do it again.
I know alot of this is habit, having used the down direction for self targeting, etc.. Maybe we'll be lucky enough some day to have macro's with <stpc> <stnpc> <bt> etc.. In the meantime, I sure hope they remove this, or at least make it optinal in the menu config.
