forced to rank in a grand company to move to another?

why are we forced to rank in a grand company before we can join another? its absolutely ridiculous. and its like a slap in the face if you join one and realize you wanted to join one of the others.

please change this. its a ridiculous requirement that shouldn't be there.

something like earning a certain amount of seals to get a pass would be acceptable but I dont want to have to keep going back to an inconvenient location to rank up in a GC I dont even want to be in

It's not like GC does anything... (excluding crafting/gathering buff, minion, or item to reset attribute) I personally has never used their armour (except to for achievement)

You realize they tell you like a million times to make absolutely sure you pick the one you want because it takes ALOT to switch. Guess what, it's really not hard. Anyone playing normally will be the max rank by the time they are level 50. I got to max rank, had enough seals leftover to buy their chocobo pet, then switched.

Why cant you just rank up like everyone else? There is no need to change the requirements, this also stops players from just constantly changeing Grand Companies. BTW a little work wont kill you!!!

they dont tell you a million times. nice try but that doesnt make their requirements any less ridiculous. getting max rank by 50 by playing normally is a little far fetched as well, if you dont normally use the FATE system or GC Leves and just use GuildLeves and regular quests max rank isnt happening by 50

Actually they do tell you a million times, you have to go to 3 damn speeches in each town. More importantly, if you don't want to rank in the GC why do you want to change so bad? Third, why the hell do you care? At the moment you barely DO ANYTHING AT ALL with any of the GC's, when you hit max rank you'll do as much as you did at the min rank.

Your GC doesn't really matter at the moment so I wouldn't really be concerned for now. It will be very relevant when Frontlines is introduced (assuming you want do PvP) but that's looking like 2.2 at the absolute earliest.
