First lvl 50 shield?

Bladed Lantern Shield, HQ version. best shield you'll get until titan/relic. Kite shield have high damage reduction but super low block chance. Where as the lantern shield has super high block chance but not as much damage blocked. but overall you will be blocking more often,therefore blocking more damage than with a kite shield.

While a high block rate looks attractive its less desirable than higher block strength. We get a CD that increases our block % dramatically, you get far more mileage out of that CD with a higher block str. In any situation where you need to mitigate enough to require consideration that CD will more than make up for a VERY slight difference in block consistency everywhere else.

Regardless, spending gil on a crafted shield isn't a good idea. Its just not necessary.
