    People are already quitting from having nothing to do. You're paying $13-15/month, they have no right to tell you how much and how often you can play. This game needs to stop being a F2P MMO and realize it's a pay to play MMO, F2P MMO = restrictions/limited playing, pay to play = no restrictions.

    More people are going to quit from being unable to play, progress, or have anything to do more than 2 hours a week than people will quit from "beating the game". MMO's shouldn't even be beatable, so that in itself is horrible design, if someone wants to beat the game, they should be able to, you, SE, or anyone shouldn't be able to tell me how fast I'm allowed to gear and how often I'm allowed to play. That's stupid.

    How does it negatively affect you or your playing experience if people "funnel" gear to a single character? How does this make your play experience worse if you and your FC won't do it? It doesn't, but it allows you to help friends, do coil more than once a week, and actually play the game. Stop defending good changes for stupid reasons.

    Please stop arguing against and shutting down great ideas that have no negative affect on you, or anyone else in the slightest. Let's get SE to change things about the game that make the game a MUCH more enjoyable experience for people who benefit from it, and doesn't change the playstyle, or the gaming experience of the people who don't want it at all. Don't want this change? That's fine - nothing changes about how you play the game or your experience WHILE playing it. No negatives at all, stop ruining the game for others by defending bad design choices.
    Bottom line is, people are already quitting due to having nothing to do, so your argument doesn't hold up very well.

    First of all I am only paying 7.99 a month cause of legacy and the 6 month plan. Do you realize this is how loot works in the most successful MMOs? Almost all of them have a weekly lockout on high end raid content, and people are fine with it. Look at WoW they have the same week lockouts and rules if you beat a boss and a new person joins you they have to start where you are, nobody complains.

    People will burn out on content in like 2 weeks if they didn't have a lockout.

    Bottom line is, people are already quitting due to having nothing to do, so your argument doesn't hold up very well.
    Source that people are quitting? On my server I tend to lag on occasion.

    And you can, what stopping you? Gear checks? The game itself doesn't tell people that you can't play another class. I understand about Myth caps ( and should be adjusted not completely changed), but When you keep saying the game doesn't allow you to play on a single character is completely wrong.

    Exactly, some people think that they NEED to get all jobs with ilvl90 to enjoy the game. In fact the only content that discourages the armory system a little bit is the ilvl90 gear. Everything else can be obtained on any class, whenever you want.

    Right now ilvl80 gear is missing from the end-game gear, if the ilvl90 gear had no lockouts, people would get the ilvl90 gear, then when 2.1 comes out those very same people will have no reason to climb the crystal tower. ( making it wasted content for those players), in the end they will cry for more content.

    Wow doesn't have an armory system or charge me more per month to make more than 1 character per server. This game discourages use of the armory system and makes me level up another character for each job I want to play, as well as charging me more, just so I can gear every job in ilvl 90 gear and do coil on every job. Armory system's existence shows lock out's DO NOT work in this game.

    Don't bother replying to me, because you have no idea what you're talking about considering you brought up WOW as a reason to why lock outs should exist, when this game should NOT be using WOW's lock out system because the armory system, a system advertised as "play any job you want on a single character!", and used as one of the main-defining and selling features of the game, exists in this game yet is completely ignored and worthless outside of craft/gather jobs and 26/34 cross-class skills at the level cap.

    Weekly token caps per character and raid lock outs per character DO NOT work in a game designed around playing all your jobs on a single character. They just don't, no one can argue this with a straight face.

    There is nothing stopping you form playing other jobs on the same character. There is no I need level 90 gear to enjoy my other jobs. You can get level 70 gear just fine for them all. When CT comes out its in DF and doesn't have a lockout you can spam that for 80 gear if you want.

    My whole thought process is... "what's the point?" Why am I gearing jobs just to do AK,WP,CM,Prae with them?

    The Job system doesn't really work so far in this game. It worked very well in XI because of the use of things like skill chains, gear swapping, support (actual support), and elemental/physical resistances. It also doesn't hurt that it took 6months+ to get a job to max level (for several years after launch). At the current time it just makes more sense to level another character (for myths/coil gear... and god forbid if CT has a lockout timer) than to level up a job where you're looking at ilvl 70 gear vs ilvl90.

    Gonna quit anyway because of lockout . I want casual game . 90% of the people playing this game are casual players . I bet they don't want to do coil either .

    I want to log in say right now , get group and do something fun and rewarding .

    Ive done everything up to titan thus far . Titan is a real bugger but I cant see me doing coil unless I join a pug which probably isn't going to work .

    Thus game over ... me and a few other hundred thousand players in the same boat will be leaving you hard core players to enjoy the ghost game .

    being that the crystal tower is ilvl 80 gear, it should have came out prior to coils, being that coils is said to be end game. Now whether or not they plan on making hard modes of crystal tower (I imagine they will)( remains to be seen as of yet. the lock prevents you from completely gearing in coil gear thus completely making tower useless.

    Somehow reading this gave me cancer....I don't understand the logic. How does a lock on ilvl90 gear make ilvl80 gear content useless?
