More Retainers?

I do! Having Culinary Goldsmith and Weaver going eats up just about every slot, and its mostly just hq items that I have in storage as well (in fact its the only reason I have an ALT at this point)

There isn't 240 retainer slots. There's *350*. It doesn't matter how many there are. If you don't manage it, you'll run out.

As I am almost full on items with both retainers, in later patches will we have more than 2 retainers?

Time to sell some stuff or use some stuff. You have to be one heck of a pack rat to use up all that space right now.

I've been busy working on multiple crafts recently. However, I don't keep excses materials on me. I only obtain / buy what I need for the crafting session.

I had the same problem as you, OP. Then I checked the item prices on the auction house and threw away 95% of everything I had. Most of the items in this game aren't worth crap. I usually just throw away stuff I get while leveling my gatherers or crafters. Why? Because if I ever need them again I'll go and gather them. Or buy them because everything is dirt cheap.
The economy on this game is a bad joke.
