Aside from fact I like to chuck myself at DF's for lower level duties now and then and all..

Well, there was a very understanding Castrum Meridanum party last night. Admittedly I'd gathered three friends to go in with for proverbial voting majority, but still the other players were all terribly nice about running with newbies. No shouting at anyone for messing up and pulling enemies they were trying to sneak around, no blitzing ahead while we were watching the cutscenes... I mean it was obvious they were taking the most efficient route but still. The only downside was that White Mage got impatient and quit on us, but at least they had the grace to just leave quietly rather than being rude or abusive about it.

So.. yeah, my first visit to Castrum Meridanum was significantly less awful than I feared it'd be thanks to that lot. Now if I can just muster something similar for the Praetorium >.>
