Coerthas is so cold, it freezes my system.

No joke. Every time I go there there's about a 50/50 chance the entire system will completely lock up (I'm on PS3 btw) and the only way to fix it is to manually turn off the console and restart. It's just that map too, it doesn't happen ANYWHERE else.

Neckbeards spam fates there 24/7 causing tremendous lag and instability….This game should not have even been released for the ps3, but they felt they had to b/c it was announced almost 3 years ago…..a SSD hard drive will probably help you out, but should you have to spend MORE money on a game that is supposed to work just fine on your system? Absolutely not….SE dropped the ball on this one bad….This happens to a lot of ps3 players….mobs not showing up until the fate is almost over, if they show up at all…It is inexcusable imo.

I believe they said they're working on something to help with the visibility of the mobs during FATEs in areas like this (and others), so we'll just have to deal with what we have until that happens.

I haven't had any serious freezing at all in Coerthas, is it just when you teleport to the location? Or is it when you walk up to a packed FATE in the area?

SE didn't drop any balls. Sony did (by making hardware that can't meet the demands of every game genre). The only reason the ps3 version exists, is, as you said, because it was promised years ago. If that promise hadn't been made for 1.0, they would most likely have just skipped the PS3 and went straight to the ps4. There's only so much they can do when the PS3 is almost a minimum requirements PC. At least the things that depend on client side memory the most like the UI aren't being constrained on the PC because of it. We should all be happy that the PS3 limitations aren't hurting the ps4 or PC versions.

Chill out dude, the Freezes are mainly due to too much animation and server stressed out. Its kinda sad SE didn't fix a lot of server issues leaving us in the Cold, and we have to wait for them to Thaw, before we get a response.

I'm already using one. I never have any problems with FATEs loading.

Usually it's within 1 or 2 seconds after I teleport in (the map name doesn't even have a chance to fade from the screen yet). Only once did it freeze up after entering the area on foot, I jumped on my chocobo and ran like 5 feet before the game/system froze.
