how do I turn off hardware mouse?

I have an ati HD 6990 graphics card and cant play full screen there is no mouse pointer. I get 40-50 fps in full screen almost max settings. Drivers are up to date. In borderless windowed I get about 25 fps or lower because it is only using 1 of the cards on the 6990 but the mouse cursor is there. The game is unplayable witout that mouse cursor and not playing in borderless windowed.

Spent all my game playing time tonight looking for a fix. I heard you can fix this by using a software mouse instead of hardware? How do I do this please help, thanks!
