You could always just copy your ff14 onto an external drive, copy it onto you're friends pc and give it a name of FF14-b as a temp name, then install the game in whatever you have game named as (say ff14-A) then don't patch yet, delete ff14-a folder and rename FF14-b to ff14-a, THEN patch, you will probly have nothing to patch at all if your version is up to date.

I didnt feel like downloading the entore 7+ GB when installing the game on another laptop. This worked great and i didnt even have any patching to do. Course I forgot to copy my settings file and macro/hotkey ui stuff but i did that later after i realized they were missing heh.
