So question for you guys, have you killed it again this week? I'd assume you've gotten to it already, but would be nice knowing if the strat is repeatable or if it was just a fluke. Same thing could be asked for any group, has anyone else downed this fight yet?

As cheesy as certain mechanics are with the strat that was used I am not doubting that the kill was legit. I am just wondering if certain things are rng if they work or not and if that prevents another kill or if you have a 1/10 chance of the stars aligning and things working to the T as was shown in the video.

True enough given enough gear you could burn though them easily. But with binding you outgeared the fights in ilvl 70 gear, by SE's own admission, that's two tiers of gear below being fully outfitted in coil item gear. That's a problem.

You're both right here. BC ultimately will always end up as farming material -- that's how MMOs work with stat progression. However, BC is easier than was intended -- it wasn't meant to be on farm before ilvl90 overgear. If you really want to know how it was intended, try running it with 2 Warriors -- that's the challenge level SE intended players to face. They just made PLD too strong along the way (and probably WAR too weak as well, lol).

no we did not kill it last night but you can have this screenshot for what it's worth. the first kill wasn't cheesed nor was it a fluke. I fully expect us to kill it tonight (again) though.

It was obvious a well deserved kill, especially since they are legacy they had and spent so much time in twintania so without a doubt this group is a very good group. But i wonder about that monk, i cannot understand why he doesnt use dots. There is absolutly no reason to not use them, they do way more dmg than if without. That screenshot looks like it was an enrage? Even i didnt kill twintania yet due to less time spent i still know monk very well and i just dont get it why he doesnt use dots. Until divebomb phase i have steady 280-300 dps how about peng? Our bard has no time to throw tp song in but TP still isnt a problem at all.

Yoshi-P directly stated in the last Live Letter that PLD was not intended to survive as it has. From Reinhart's translation:

I'd like to see just what percentage of the player population has beaten turns 1-4, because if it's as "faceroll easy" as some of you are making out then that should be everyone right? If I had to take a wild guess from seeing the same people around Wineport then I'd say it's down in the single figures, maybe 5% at most.

SE is trying to cater to people of all abilities, but ultimately that's a very hard thing to do without alienating one or the other. Make it too easy and hardcores will faceroll it, make it too hard and the majority will get frustrated and give up and go elsewhere. Perhaps extreme mode primals will give you more of a challenge, I guess we'll see.
