*tumbleweeds blow through the thread*
Onolock??!
Badly designed mechanics and their overall failure with Twintania gives their raiding atmosphere a very frightening future. Gratz on your kill BG and my apoligies for my accusations against you even if I don't quite agree with the ability to ignore mechanics(ie tank running into conflag to break the boss is still terrible design no matter how you look at it, I don't think this was intended still and SE just won't fix it cause it's been killed), but that is SE's failure and no fault of your own. While he was a bit over-zealous I think his concern has merit. Being able to have a tank sit in conflag and Twintania do nothing simply 'feels' buggy and wrong. Mechanics definitly should have interaction, like running the fireball in to firestorm extends it's duration. That said I disagree with Yoshi's stance on this use of the mechanic in this way and I feel quite a few others would agree. I doubt anyone who had been attempting twintania for any matter of time had any real problem with BG using it though. But him being 'okay' with this type of interaction paints it in a dim light for future content when 'maybe-bugs' are put in and deemed alright in use.
Anyway, taking a break til 2.2 since no other meaningful content is coming out, see if maybe they can pull out some bug-free content in the future.

Nope, not at all. I'm not a 4 year old. I can take accountability for my words and say I'm sorry unlike most of the 2 year olds that browse these forums. This is the last time I'm posting in this thread, so take care and again gratz to BG.

how are they ignoring a mechanic WHEN THEIR USING THE MECHANIC TO AVOID THE DMG...?????
it's like you can't let go of your straw man theroy.
Honestly, if your taking a break til 2.2, just don't even bother coming back, something tells me the community of FFXIV isn't going to feel bad about it one bit.
Just wanted to add my own congrats to BG! I'm not surprised you are the first to accomplish this. I'd also like to wish all the other FC's out there good luck.
Like i said.. you have to know SE and how they run things. If you hadn't played FFXI and you think it doesn't compare to this, you're so wrong. From the mass gil stripping, to the way coil works. This is just like Delve were the first five bosses have a gimmicky mechanic, you learn it and it becomes cake, and the final boss is a pain in the ass but has a few major weaknesses to exploit which helps you take it down. No difference.
Cg BG!
Ultimate question of ultimate destiny: Yoshi was all "ya'll hommies so bad, like, not even 100 gonna clear this before 2.1"
How far can we, as a community, smash that number now that we have BG's video? Even groups that caught up late and got stuck without turn 5 access cus of the take downs are already advancing several phases (which by all of your hard work and accounts, used to take new groups far more than 3-6 hours haha).
