Graphics card issue?

Before you go swapping drivers, do a quick check to confirm your video card's fan is working properly. Take the side of your case off and boot up. If you don't see it spinning, or it is spinning slowly and doesn't start to increase it's speed once you start playing the game, something may up with the fan and it may need to be replaced--or the extra power cord may not be connected properly. For the casual PC owner, replacing the GPU's heatsink and/or fan may be a bit of an advanced task...for the cost to get a professional to do it you may do better to just replace the card.
