Call mythology gear AF 1.5
Call mythology gear AF 1.5
Isn't the JSE you buy Myth stones "relic" gear? Atleast it shares it's names with relic gear from FFXI.
Call it the Hero set, since that is what SE calls it according to the jewelry.
Maybe silly, but how do we not know AF2 as shown in the video isn't ilv80 gear drops from CT? And that the current myth gear is relic and above it?
The little AF2 written next to the name?![]()
When the current i90 AF sets were data mined from the Benchmark right before Phase 4 (for those of us that remember) they were all listed as AF+1. Exact same name as AF but with a +1 next to it, Gallant Surcoat +1, etc.
So yeah. AF+1.
You guys can call it whatever you want, but AF1.5 is probably the most ridiculous. I'm guessing the AF1.5 people have never played FFXI, because that set of armor simply does not exist.
In FFXI we have AF, which you can then upgrade to AF+1 (thus AF+1 makes perfect sense in 14).
Then there is relic armor, which people often call AF2. Relic armor can also be upgraded to relic+1 or AF2+1, and relic+2 or AF2+2.
Then there is empyrean armor, which people often call AF3. This can be upgraded to +1 and +2 as well.
Thus, calling it AF+1 or even relic makes sense at this point. For the 'most' part, relic used the same model as AF, and just different coloring, which is exactly how the mythology gear looks. Basically, AF1.5 (lol) does not exist. Quit using it.
And before people say that this game isn't FFXI, well, in many things it is, and one of those things is naming. There are countless abilities, names, etc that they've reused from FFXI. Considering that they are calling the new gear AF2, it's pretty clear they are sticking to the same gear naming as well.
Was there a need to make another thread on this topic?

I'm laughing at how someone on these forums called me a noob or someone who has never played FFXI because I called the currency armor AF +1.
Your logic is flawed because Clothcraft in FFXI is now Weaver in FFXIV. There is no "Flash" in FFXI and other naming things. This game is FFXIV, it takes ideas from FFXI but FFXI rules and naming are not also the same for FFXIV.
