I think it's a pretty good idea to let the player change the color of their FC Members names. And why not include this option if you can change any other names color anyways?

I like it. Reminds me when I play Ragnarok Online. My party members appear as small dots (like we have) on map. Guild members appears as squares on the mini map.

i actually like this idea. sometimes i want to find my fc mates faster but can't be in a party with them for example. it has to be an option though not a "turned on by default" kinda thing

OP is old but relevant! Colours are already in use for friends, I guess it isn't hard setup them also for party/fc mates. Even fixed colours, no need to have them customizable, see a different colour is enough to me.
