Thread: .3 Second Positional Update Delay (Requesting Dev Response)

So have all you people tried anything to fix this issue yourselves? I mean it is all well and good pointing the finger at SE but it would effect everyone if it was something SE could fix.
Why would some people lag and other not lag?
I am in the UK and i can get out of circles without problem. I do not lag either unless it is a really busy area and that is normal for an MMO.

Have you guys tried turning your game graphics down as low as it can go for instance?
How about plugging your router into the Master Socket (for phone line users)
Just because lots of people lag doesn't mean you are all suffering from the same cause.
How about moving cordless phones away from routers?
Not using wireless?
Even mobile phones can effect things.

For instance all your other games could have servers closer to you so the lag isn't as obvious. It could be any number of things. Just because there is a thread with people talking about lag doesn't automatically mean every single person with lag has the same issue.

You're right, it is up to us. Up to us to decide to pay for a half assed lag/delay filled game or move on to another game with far less issues. Can you guess which way most with this problem will go? The MMO market is pretty big, pretty stupid on SEs part to not even comment on this. Only time will tell how this game will go. I suggest people with this issue vote with their wallets. If this isn't fixed by time my 3 month sub is up in January i'll not be resubbing.

SE have commented on this. I offered other solutions to lag problems. As chances of every single person with lag all having the exact same problem is very low. I guess you are either too stubborn or irritated to take a look at your own stuff in the chance it might fix your problem when you can sit with you arms folded throwing a strop and holding your breath.

Orrrrrr, maybe you should stop being ignorant, and read and understand the OP? While there are a lot of posts about network lag on the forums, this specific thread is about the built in action delay of 300ms in the game. None of your solutions are going to fix that.

I am far from being ignorant.
I know what the thread is about. You can bet not every single person in here has tested their connection to rule out problems and are just jumping into this thread. So instead of throwing attitude at people trying to give sensible suggestions why not test your own stuff just in case.
I am not saying there isn't a built in lag but from comments i have seen in this thread some people are talking about actual lag rather than the inbuilt.

There are people in here screaming about how SE haven't spoken about the problem when in fact they have.

The person coming in offering help who has read the response from SE even though he himself has no problem or the people basically throwing strops and giving people offering help a hard time?

I mean can you vouch for every single person in this thread that they are actually 100% talking about the delay and only the inbuilt delay?

So i'm ignorant now lol? Okie little one. Whatever you say. You accuse others of starting arguments, and yet you come into this thread and totally try to derail it? My stuff HAS been tested mister know everything. And infact everything i have is designed just for online gaming. And judging by the fact that i have no issues with any other game i play online, just this one, kinda makes me think this is a fault with SE. But i guess since you're here to say it's our stuff, we should take your word for it, because we're ignorant and you're not.

Does all of the games you play online handle its data as P2P on official servers? Streams are always P2P to some extent but XIV's is pretty much like you're running a torrent progam.
