    The client absolutely does less than any other client ought to in a MMORPG. When you think you got out of a Weight of the Land, only to see the damage pop up half a second after the casting is done, it's an example of the client not actually doing any work. If it was up to the client to determine whether you get hit, it'd be able to tell you whether you dodged the AE or not as soon as WotL is finished casting. This is never the case. You'll only find out if you got hit or not shortly after WotL is over, but never the moment it's done. All the client is doing is waiting for the server to tell it whether you got hit or not.

    Let me put it this way - In other MMOs I wasn't able to tell the server to make me have x client side like you could in ARR, it's a very widely known exploit and why there's been a lot of hacks lately, so yeah ARR's client actually is a lot more "work heavy" than most other MMOs, which seems to be double-edged.

    I get what you were saying but there's a lot of purposeful designs they did with it for reasons unknown.
