is i90level gear being released before i80level gear?

just inquiring. I just saw on another thread somebody said that i90level gear is (or has been released) before i80level gear.

is this really true?

AF2 and Allegan gear is i90 gear. Crystal tower gear is assumed to be i80. Crystal tower was supposed to be available at launch but was deemed unbalanced in some way and therefore delayed. There are all your answers. For sources simply read the letters from the producer on the lodestone.

Yep. We can get the ilvl90 gear using Myth Tomes or by doing the Binding Coil of Bahamut. Tomes have a cap, and Coil has a 1 week lock out, so not much of a big deal.

Yes. Relic+1 weapon is ilevel90 too. If you go to revenant toll and look what people are wearing, you will find hundreds of ilevel90 equipments. Everyone has couple of pieces by now

Second post nailed it. They had to yank that instance due to some bugs for release, which caused the unfortunate gap we have at endgame now. Bummer too, I think there would have been a lot less complaining about endgame early on had that dungeon made it to launch. There would have been a much smoother progression, and it would have taken a little bit longer.
