    Level sync suggestion

I love the level sync for dungeons and fates in this game.... but as I play I am growing more and more scared of touching any of my battle classes due to me wanting to stay in level range of my friends, I can level with them in the field without ruining their exp.

I know that its easy enough for them to solo in this game and just reach my level. But I find that its more fun to be able to level with others through the game than it is to walk around questing in fields alone and zooming through storyline stuff and fates mindlessly.

Getting around to my suggestion... I know XI and XIV are just about completely different games in some aspects but one thing I did appreciate in XI was being able to level sync in parties that are not in a instance or a pop-up battle event (aka fate) of any kind.

I'd be very happy to see a system similar to this be put into XIV so that I may travel around with my friends and level alongside them, I know that its a pretty weird request to ask for but I believe this would be very possible. I also believe that it'd be more convenient for those who outlevel one or two fates in the area then have to remember to level sync every time as opposed to just staying sync'd to whatever level needed.

Times have changed...before in MMORPG games, there was no any level sync etc...that's for casual gamer's...and what about "us" hardcore player's? If you want casual mmorpg i can give you my Guild Wars 2 copy of the game...

Every mmo is different with different features to offer and XI was up for years plus they had level sync for a good number of the years already, around when WoW started up is when XI started, a few yrs after is when level sync was announced. MMOs may have changed but some games are versatile, I am not complaining about casual vs hardcore. I just want to play with my lower leveled friends while being able to level at my own speed, theres no excuse to not to do this if its possible.

On a side note, I like the FF titles (grew up with FF) so I plan to stick with XIV for quite some time and Im not really a GW fan but thanks for the thought and offer.

I like the idea and it would certainly be nice for those of us who could bring in a few more people that initially passed on the game. Additionally, it'd be great as a means to continue playing the game with lower leveled friends without having to start an additional class. While there has been little word from SE, it seems as if there is a bit if a push for it. Hopefully SE will consider it.

OP never referenced Hardcore or Casual, so it sounds like you may need to make a new thread for your topic.

In all honesty though, theme park based games have never really been hardcore. Even the original EQ was pretty casual, only requiring heavy time commitments. If you want hardcore, I can set you up with a Plex in EvE (free month) or reference several full-loot sandbox MMOs that might interest you.

Oh I hope they do! It'd be wonderful to just be able to tag along with my guildies and friends as my healer instead of needing to tank or something that im totally not familiar with. xD (never been a tanky kind of player!)
