Well now Im not alone in this, and that makes me feel a bit better. SE lost my account as well, mind you it was my 1.0 account. But I went to register and they tell me there is a account with that email, oh good I can just log in. Nope, says there is no such account under that email... time to reregister, but again there is already an account with that email? Round and round I went. SE customer service was so helpful *cough*. CS told me they had never seen anything like it and had no idea what to do about it. Looks like its struck again. Hopefully they will be more helpful for you then they were for me.
