Why ? I mean the Aimorie is to store the AF, season event items & pre-order item right ? but why cant I do that with the 2.0 items ?

Because it's terrible in its current state.
Because those items are meant to go into an armoire, not an aimorie.
It would be nice to get a reply to this.. we don't even know if it's a bug or intended.
The colored pumpkin heads will go into storage.
The Ghost costumes will not.
The cheap versions of the swim suits will go into storage.
The expensive versions will not.
AF gear will go into storage
AF+1 gear will not.
color pumikin head is 1.0 items, mean 1.0 events
the cheap version if swimsuit is also from 1.0
AF is also 1.0
new AF is AF 1.5 (not +1), and it is from 2.0
I ll repeat again, only 1.0 items you can put into Armoire (correct name) but not the newly 2.0 with same type.
and while you say it work as intended, I d like the source link or quote of GM reply
edit: some where back in 1.0 Yoshi say the Armoire is to put those event, pre-order and AF item because they take up player inventory & retainer slots. So in theory, those new items of same type in 2.0 should be able to put into Armoire too but I cant, and that confuse me

If it follows FFXI at all with the event storage etc. then new event items won't be storable until the update after their release. That means these items should be storable after 2.1 and any event/blue items released in 2.1 will have to wait until 2.2. Not sure why this is the case.
It's also worth noting that while you can put the 1.0 pre-order Onion Helmet into the Armoire, you can't do the same for the 2.0 pre-order Helm of Light, which lends credence to the 1.0-only angle.
I propose all Grand Company gear should be storable in the Armoire.
Because if you have tons of gear from one Company and then you switch to another, you can use any of it so you need to store it somewhere.
Any non-convertible gear should also be allowed to be stored in the Armoire.

I disagree, that's what retainers are for. The armoire was only implemented as a means for some relief to the ever increasing holiday and pre-order gear that was accumulating, not as a supplement to normal storage.
