Consciousness creates reality.
Running windows 7 64 bit.
Game crashing upon launch, can't even get to character selection screen.
First time there was a runtime error. Fixed by unselecting "Read only" for FFXIV game folder.
Got into game just fine, then. But crashed again.
tried disabling chrome remote desktop services. No luck
The crash error I get now references Memory. Will try Running in Windows XP compatible mode, or just setting the game to full screen mode.
this is really starting to suck i pay for a game i wanna play that was working fine and i still get the 2002 error even after trying to find everything that s wrong with my computer. why is this not working.
Yeah, this is really inexcusable.
The issue still hasn't even been acknowledged. wtf
Consciousness creates reality.
So... Yeah. I had four crashes today within the span of a couple of hours...
I've been getting game stopped working errors for four months now on a daily basis. And all these months all people do is say they have the same problem, and cry about how many crashes they have had. I've tried about 120 solutions that me and others have tested to troubleshoot with no answers. Obviously a driver module, nvd3dum.dll, is faulting, but no one knows how to fix it....
Yep, same here, game crashed in the middle/end of a fate.
Screen freezes and i get,
FFXIV has encountered an error and must close...
Had to reboot to get it working again but now has some lag, where as before this problem the connection was smooth.
I have this error too, it mostly happens when a fate starts or when it finishes. 1 of 6 fates usually crashes my game.
Also just so you know, My ram is 100% okay, I did a western digital diagnostic that's okay, I ran a Chk scan on Harddrive that's fine, I re-installed windows 7 several times.
I was recently getting blue screen of death because of the game but I figured that out, by uninstalling the processors and letting intel re-install them which stopped that.
I re-installed game on administrator also virus programs were off during the update, the pc is brand new, so no excuses I am tired of it, other games on my pc run perfect steam down to FFXI and other games this is a problem when you pay for a game and you crash every 2-5 minutes into doing something.
Also lets add more stuff, I have run the game in administrator when installing, also dx works fine no issues, ive ran a sfc /scannow also virus programs to see if I have any issues and nothing so basically it makes no sense to blame a Pc when other games on my pc do not crash.
oh one more thing, my cpu and other board my heat only goes 29c to 32c never above and never overclocked my pc and my Bios is up to date.

Upgraded my comp: GTX 760 + Intel Core i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz 4Gb RAM.
Game runs fluid, no more crashes at all. It's no SE fault, stop blaming them they won't realese a game with coding errors, just a game which, as all games, have it requirements.
Thats all I have to say: It's your comp who needs to refresh...not SE.
