Seriously? Even after putting a cap on the number of people in zone, they still vanish and become untargetable. So frustrating.

People actually do those FATES still? Completely useless, and pointless. I wish the fights actually meant something and dropped decent and worthwhile loot.
So far the only thing you have accomplished OP is that you've told SE that both FATE encounters still are getting the same problem.
No details though, you haven't said whether you are on PC(specs? graphics settings?) or PS3.
This also belongs in the bug reports forum, but make it more helpful.
The fix for Odin / Behemoth are coming in 2.1... Not these little hotfixes.
Here is your answerBayohne
Q: Regarding Odin/Behemoth FATEs and server crashes
A: In FFXIV: ARR the maps are made up of 8-meter grids. In a single grid, we've set it to display a maximum of 100 players. When this grid contains more than the maximum number of players, there are cases where players and monsters do not appear. In order to address this, we will be managing the display priorities for the entire zone, and when special content like Odin and Behemoth FATEs occur, we make adjustments so that the process prioritizes this so that normal play conditions are possible. We will be making this adjustment in patch 2.1.
This fix was implanted to stop servers from crashing because of too many people in the zone, not because of the invisible Behemoth issue. There is a far more detailed dev post but to sum it up the issue is that the game displays in grids to maximize frame rate and to fix these two rates they have to rewrite the entire zone to fix it and is scheduled to be implemented with patch 2.1.
bah they are just useless fates due to them dropping nothing interesting.
Sure the items you gain after trading them in are inferior to other tome items BUT with vanity system coming up they can be highly desirable. I think thats why most people are collecting things.
