Fun fact: A Realm Reborn wasn't just made for you. New players are using the content you don't care to do. There is more than enough content for a new MMO release. WoW had 2 40-man raids at launch and look at how that game did.Easy, don't RERELEASE a game which has the groundwork and foundation laid and make wild claims about the game starting at 50 with only 1 dungeon worth doing and 1 raid that can be cleared in 40 minutes with the last boss being impossible to kill. Don't make excuses for SE, this is clearly on their shoulders for their failure. They could have easily pushed the release a few months more and released tons of content, but they didn't because they have shareholders.![]()
Actually it was only MC, BWL wasn't out for almost 6 months later. They also had UBRS/LBRS/MC at launch. Just becuase people are "using" the content, once they beat Coil, there is nothing to do. Crafting/ Leveling Multiple jobs isn't content, so that point is moot. Housing is not content. I fail to see what content you are referring to. Since the game start at 50 quoted by Yoshida himself, I fail to see what content you are referring to.

Once they beat Coil, there'll be nothing to do...for now (except maybe continue to run it for gear). We're getting Crystal Tower, PvE and a new dungeon (can't find the name currently) in 2.1 for battle content. Sure, the stuff might drop gear that's lower iLevel than Coil, but Titan also drops stuff lower iLevel than Coil, and everybody has to do that for a quest. We have no idea what the Crystal Tower will yield as far as PHATLEWTZ.Actually it was only MC, BWL wasn't out for almost 6 months later. They also had UBRS/LBRS/MC at launch. The cool thing about the MMORPG genre is that things get added with every patch. It's pretty much confirmed that you'll always have something to work towards in each major update.
My mistake on the months, the site I saw listed day/month instead of month/day for this one listing.
And it still counts. The game was getting updates for a year before we got it. Just because we got it later doesn't mean that's when the content started.

you're wasting your breath, its the want it now generation and wow kiddies that expect every new mmo to have years worth of content at launch.. simply forgetting where all mmo's start, and that's with little content at first. even wow had crap for content.. MC was NOT out at launch.. fun fact.
On release, Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair were the only 40 man instances in the game, thus Ragnaros was the first "game end boss." source http://www.wowwiki.com/Molten_Coreyou're wasting your breath, its the want it now generation and wow kiddies that expect every new mmo to have years worth of content at launch.. simply forgetting where all mmo's start, and that's with little content at first. even wow had crap for content.. Fun fact, it was. Also WoW lasted a lot longer leveling wise and gearing up to even get into MC. Where as FFXIV you could level and gear up in a week and walk into Coil.

fact is SE messed up ... they skipped ilevel 80 gear which was supposed to be CT which was supposed to be in at launch ( they have stated this)
but they thought it was too hard and kept it back ... heres the problem with doin it now though people dont need ilevel80 gear to do coil we have passed 80 and went from 70 - 90 ... so adding ilevel80 gear now is just a waste of player and dev time.
Not really. CT would do good for gearing up Alts.fact is SE messed up ... they skipped ilevel 80 gear which was supposed to be CT which was supposed to be in at launch ( they have stated this)

Are you an internet e-thug?
I laugh cause you fake. CX

I wouldn't really say it lasted much longer, most MC bosses were killed in January of 2005 which is about 1-2 month after release. Ragnaros was the only exception being 4-5 months after release and I think that had to do with farming a full FR set was a nightmare at the time.On release, Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair were the only 40 man instances in the game, thus Ragnaros was the first "game end boss." source http://www.wowwiki.com/Molten_Core

Always remember the Silver Rule:
"Treat others as they treat you!" ...or something like that.

EQ1 had the golden idea for end game and i have no clue why not one game .. even eq2 .. copied
sure there were raids but what made eq1 end game so great was their AA system .. when i stopped playing i believe there were like 1900 AA"s
You had to level AA"s .. there was no AA cap and there were progressive string AA's
Why this was a great system is because there was ALWAYS something to log in and do to PROGRESS my character even outside of raid gear

SECOND reason why this was great is because depending on the time you spent leveling AA's and playing the game your character would be stronger or more unique then every other character of that class
I wish mmos would go back to this if someone spends 50 hours a week playing then yes their ranger should be stronger and be able to do stuff someones ranger that plays 10 hours a week .. its called COMMON SENSE dont believe me .. well then go spend 4 years and get a degree and get a job ... i will spend 4 months get the same degree and same job with same pay ... make sense right??
